“Electronic music employs electronic musical instruments and technology in its production. In general a distinction can be made between sound produced using electro-mechanical means (eg. Hammond Organ, Electric Guitar, etc) and that produced using electronic technology (eg. Sound Synthesizer, and a Computer). Electronic music was once associated almost exclusively with Western art music but from the late 1960s on the availability of affordable music technology meant that music produced using electronic means became increasingly common in the popular domain. Today electronic music includes many varieties and ranges from experimental art music to popular forms such as electronic dance music. The ability to record sounds is often connected to the production of electronic music, but not absolutely necessary for it.” – (Source – Wikipedia)
At I Love Music, our (EMP) Electronic Music Production course will teach you how to produce music electronically, i.e on a computer.
The EMP or Electronic Music Production course is tailored for those who want to learn how to produce music digitally. We’ll teach you how to transform your musical ideas into digital tracks on a computer, using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) – Ableton Live, and a wide array of digital and hardware instruments and effects units.
The course will help you understand electronic music and its structure, focusing on the key elements required to construct a track. Once you’ve mastered the basics, we’ll introduce you to the advanced tools needed to produce your own compositions, as well to as the fine art of mixing and mastering them to perfection. Finally, we will explore ‘synthesis’ – how to use industry-standard hardware and software synthesizers to create sounds from scratch.
